This includes incorporating more efficient electrical devices\u2014that is, devices that consume less energy than the average equipment available while achieving the same result\u2014as well as making better use of spaces with more natural lighting. According to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the sectors that should implement energy-efficiency measures, as they generate the largest amounts of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, are: Residential, Industrial, Services, Agriculture, Transportation, and Energy. The importance of energy efficiency is based on four key points:<\/p>   <ol class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li>Increased energy consumption due to global growth.<\/li>   <li>Rising energy costs.<\/li>   <li>The reality of climate change.<\/li>   <li>Medium- and long-term financial savings through the implementation of responsible energy-consumption measures.<\/li> <\/ol>   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Energy efficiency promotes the use of renewable energy to achieve a balance in the emissions produced, since sustained global population growth continues to increase energy demand and, consequently, emissions, according to the United Nations. Undoubtedly, there will be greater demand for energy and therefore higher GHG emissions. It is therefore essential for future generations to incorporate energy-efficiency practices into their way of life. Some of the most effective measures for achieving efficient energy consumption include:<\/p>   <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li>Improve ventilation within buildings and infrastructure.<\/li>   <li>Replace traditional light bulbs with LED or energy-efficient bulbs.<\/li>   <li>Use energy-efficient electronic devices.<\/li>   <li>Develop an Energy Efficiency Plan to determine the actual energy consumption of electrical devices.<\/li>   <li>Implement solar technologies for water heating.<\/li>   <li>Install more energy-efficient air-conditioning systems.<\/li>   <li>Promote energy efficiency in public lighting by installing energy-efficient bulbs.<\/li>   <li>Promote the incorporation of energy efficiency into education.<\/li> <\/ul>   <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These measures must be adopted to achieve energy efficiency.
