Carolina Arce

General Manager of ZONE Environmental Services, Carolina leads the company’s regional operations with extensive experience in environmental consulting and auditing, carbon neutrality, carbon footprint, and greenhouse gas verification under INTE/ISO 14064 and INTE B5 standards. She has successfully led the handling of administrative environmental complaints before SETENA, Dirección de Aguas, and SINAC, advising clients in the food, pharmaceutical, electronics, agroindustrial, and construction industries. She also has experience in Environmental Due Diligence  for mergers and acquisitions of national and international companies. Carolina holds a Master’s in Green Economy from the Universidad Isabel I de España.

Certifications and related experience

• Specialized training in carbon neutrality, organizational carbon footprint measurement, emissions quantification, greenhouse gas inventories, and uncertainty, under INTE/ISO 14064 and INTE B5 standards. 
• Training as a carbon auditor and verifier for organizations, including internal audit, third-party verification, and information systems for organizational carbon neutrality. 
• Training as an internal auditor in environmental management, occupational health and safety, food safety, and energy management systems, under ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, ISO 50001 and ISO 19011 standards. 
• Training in social responsibility, quality, and human resources management systems, under applicable INTE/ISO standards, including ISO 9002 and INTE 35-01-01. 
• Complementary training in sustainable construction, life cycle analysis, project management with Microsoft Project, and talent tools for business strategy.
• Internal Auditor in Energy Management Systems.
• Training in INTE/ISO 14001:2026 and INTE/ISO 19011:2018 Standards, Instituto de Normas Técnicas de Costa Rica (INTECO) and IQNet, May 2026.
